About Us

Bowmanville Baptist Church originated as a local congregation, formed through prayerful consideration and a commitment to sharing the gospel within the growing town of Bowmanville. The church's history dates to the mid-1950s, when a group of believers began meeting for worship, teaching, and fellowship. Over time, the congregation has expanded and changed locations, while consistently maintaining its primary mission: to glorify God and foster discipleship.

Currently, Bowmanville Baptist Church continues to serve both Bowmanville and neighbouring communities by sharing the message of Jesus Christ and supporting members in their faith journeys. The church is dedicated to being a Christ-centered community, focused on following Christ, loving God, caring for one another, and serving the broader community. Guided by the conviction that the gospel has transformative power, members strive to embody this belief through grace, humility, and joy.

Weekly gatherings are held on Sundays, featuring worship through music, prayer, and the preaching of God’s Word. Through intentional Christian fellowship and faithful teaching, the church aims to promote spiritual growth and encourage each member in their pursuit of Christlikeness.
