Our Leadership
Berris Patience
Berris Patience began serving at Bowmanville Baptist Church in September 2025, together with his wife, Laura, their two daughters, Ariella and Ataliah, and their son, Austin. He completed his Master of Divinity at Toronto Baptist Seminary in May 2015.
At the centre of Berris’s ministry is a simple conviction: Jesus changes everything. With a passion for God’s Word and a love for God’s people, he seeks to cultivate spaces where grace is felt, truth is heard, and lives are transformed. His heart beats for discipleship, restoration, and helping others discover the beauty of God’s presence in the rhythms of everyday life.
His life in Christ is anchored in Paul’s words from Philippians 1:21: “For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”
